Fastned Raises Record-Breaking €36.5 Million in Bond Issue

Fastned has completed its most successful bond issue to date, raising €36.5 million in its first tranche of 2025. This follows three tranches issued in 2024, which collectively raised over €80 million. With €227 million in outstanding bonds, Fastned is rapidly acquiring high-traffic locations and accelerating station construction, keeping it on track to reach 1,000 stations by 2030.

Connected Kerb Secures £65 Million to Expand UK Charging Network

UK-based charge point operator Connected Kerb has secured a £65 million equity investment from The National Wealth Fund and Aviva Investors. The funding will accelerate the company’s plan to expand its UK EV charging network from 9,000 to 40,000 sockets in the coming years, significantly improving public charging availability.

Circle K Opens Its Largest EV Charging Station in Sweden

Circle K has launched its largest EV charging hub worldwide in Järna, Sweden, featuring 26 ultra-fast charging points for both light and heavy vehicles. The 30,000-square-meter station includes solar panels, crosswalks for pedestrian safety, and a drive-through charging setup for enhanced convenience. 

PowerGo Strengthens Denmark’s EV Network with 152 New Chargers

PowerGo has installed 152 new public charging points across Ikast-Brande, Denmark, including 16 ultra-fast bays along Highway N185, supporting Denmark’s growing EV adoption.

E.ON Expands Ultra-Rapid Charging Network in Scotland

E.ON Drive is rolling out 42 new ultra-rapid charging bays across six Scottish locations near Dundee, Edinburgh, Stirling, and Dunfermline. These 150 kW chargers will provide 150 miles of range in just 10 minutes, adding to E.ON’s existing Aberdeen hub, which currently features 12 ultra-rapid charging bays.

Believ and Wallbox Partner to Expand Ultra-Rapid Charging in the UK

Believ has partnered with Wallbox to roll out ultra-rapid chargers across the UK, integrating scalable charging solutions (up to 220kW) to enhance en-route and destination charging.

Osprey Expands UK Charging Network with Retail and Leisure Hubs

Osprey Charging is rolling out 72 ultra-rapid chargers across six UK retail and leisure locations, with the first site in Stoke-on-Trent live and major hubs near the M25 and M1 under construction.

Charge France Pledges €3 Billion to Deploy 40,000 Ultra-Fast Chargers by 2028

Charge France, an alliance of 13 leading CPOs, has announced a €3 billion investment to quadruple France’s ultra-fast charging network by 2028. With 40,000 new ultra-fast charge points, the initiative aims to make France a European leader in high-power charging. Over the past two years, the country has seen a 115% growth in ultra-fast charging infrastructure, the fastest in Europe. Backed by major players such as Fastned, IONITY, ENGIE Vianeo, and Powerdot, Charge France advocates for strong regulatory support to accelerate fleet electrification and EV adoption across the country.

Germany Opens Charging Tenders to Double Capacity

Germany has launched multiple tenders to expand its EV charging infrastructure, with Munich leading the effort and planning to double its charging capacity to 55 MW by 2027. Unlike previous tenders, this initiative focuses on total power capacity instead of fixed charger numbers, allowing operators greater flexibility. The deadline for applications is March 6, 2025.

Shell Expands EV Charging Across German Retail Parks

Shell has partnered with urban real estate firm Redevco to roll out ultra-fast EV charging stations across 55 retail parks in Germany. The first site, Brücken Center Remscheid, is already live, with more locations to follow. Each site will offer four to eight 400 kW chargers, making retail park charging more accessible and supporting Shell’s goal of operating 200,000 public chargers globally by 2030.

E.ON to Install 7,000 Charging Points at German Federal Properties

E.ON has won a contract to install 7,000 EV charging points across federal government buildings in Germany, including ministries, research institutes, and the Federal Network Agency. The project will feature 100% green energy-powered chargers with intelligent load management, prioritizing government and emergency fleet vehicles.

Atlante has launched new fast and ultra-fast EV chargers at Torino Airport, offering 19 electrified stalls (22kW–400kW) to support seamless EV travel in Northern Italy.
