Sustainable Development Goals

FLEXeCHARGE adopts UN Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs)

From the 17 SDGs defined back in 2015 by the UN, FLEXeCHARGE has decided to start to focus on number 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) and 11 (Sustainable cities and communities). This is where we believe we can provide our most significant impact for a more sustainable world in the short run.

Through our flexible and innovative load management software solution, we can improve the charging experience for EV drivers by making charging both easier, faster, and cheaper. This will help to boost the transformation to e-mobility. In addition, we can help to utilize local renewable energy sources to charge EV´s cheaper and greener.

SDG 9: Build resilient infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialization and foster innovation.

Today most people in the EV industry agree that the application of load management is unavoidable to provide fast, green, and cheap charging. Every day the FLEXeCHARGE team is exclusively dedicated to improve the load management algorithm to exactly do that. Regarding the SDGs, FLEXeCHARGE, in particular, contributes to objective 9.4, which involves upgrading industries and infrastructure for sustainability, and objective 9.5, which aims to enhance research and upgrade industrial technologies.

Scalable advanced load management for large-scale infrastructures is complex. We help charging station manufacturers handle this by delivering a state-of-the-art IoT software platform ready for future requirements, including AI and V2G.

Electrification is the new buzzword and the key driver to make cities sustainable. Right now, the focus is on load management for EV infrastructures, often combined with building energy management systems. However, we at FLEXeCHARGE also look at the next level, which is intelligent microgrids where decentralized energy production and consumption is managed across multiple households helping each other utilize local production and keep cost at a minimum

Why would you pay a high price at the utility provider when your neighbor can supply you with his photovoltaic or even with a big stationary or car battery at half the price? These transactions could be blockchain-controlled based on an energy coin. Here innovation meets sustainability in the electrification of our societies.
We are proud that our solution contributes to two or more of the Sustainable Development Goals, directly or indirectly. Every day we strive to do our part in meeting the SDGs from the core of our business, through our operations, and by empowering our customers to make an impact themselves.
